Bake Sale

It went pretty well, according to Brookesany. We sold out. Made close to $50, which is great. We're gonna use the money to buy stuff for the costume party. Yay Costume Parties! FTW.

The Meetings

Are going pretty well. Only two meetings into the year and we already have a pretty great turnout (around 20ish). Which, i guess is great, according to everyone else. I wish we had more people, but maybe thats just cause i want the club to be big enough to really make a difference. I know theres the whole "one person can make the difference" thing, but i feel that this should be more of a group activity.

The Costume Party is a go. We're having it at Alicia's on the 25th, so it should be tons of fun.

First meeting: SUCCESS

Soooo, our first meeting was GREAT!!! Not as good a turn-out as i would have hoped, but i guess when you think about it...it WAS just our first meeting and our signs, though cute and scrabble-y, lacked the luster and awesomeness it would have taken to draw in a ton of members. But we did good, for the most part.

We had such a full schedule that we didnt even get everything done, so we have to finish up at our next meeting, which will be the 18th.

Hopefully, the stupid rain wont kill our picnic...i'll cry, i seriously will...:(

Some people were being childish at the meeting, and, as much fun as joking can be, sometimes being serious is called for. I hope they get that sooner versus later.

But all in all it was a good time. I'm excited to see what's yet to come. It'll be awesome, i'm sure.

Stupid people piss me off...

I hate how people in our school feel the need to be complete and utter ARSEHOLES. Writing on our GSA signs? How impossibly juvinile is that? Seriously. Come on people, we're in high school, i think we should be WAY past that. We're not in elementry school anymore. Grow up.

I honestly, i cant see why people are SO intimidated by gays. Maybe its just me. Maybe i'm just biased because I'm Bi. Who knows. It just angers me to no end.

Thats why we started the GSA. To end stupid pointless behavior like that. Hopefully, we will have made at least a slight impact on the student body. Change some POVs. Make people realize the error of their ways and all that jazz.
